BACK-UP,
CROSSOVER & EXPLODE
Can blow-by
defenders or crossover when trapped

We want our ballhandlers to take two big
steps backward, palm facing backwards,
to create room between ballhandler and
defensive players trying to trap. The
crossover dribble should always be
quick and low, below the knee. It should
never be used when defender is within
an arms distance...you would choose to
blow-by the defender, go behind the back
or dribble between the legs. Do not
turn your back on the defense...keep eyes
up and see the floor. This will help you
avoid traps and other difficult situations
