Shamrocks Complete Successful
Season, Fail to Medal
(Kearney, NE.. Oct. 23, 2020) The Shamrocks completed
a successful 2020 campaign Friday at the State Meet in
Kearney. The girls team finished 11th in Class C, led by
Olivia Fehringer in 16th place. Though she failed to medal,
she improved her top Scotus girls time on the Kearney course
since Nebraska girls started running 5K in 2013. Whitney
Klug (37th), Emily Ferguson (61st), Serena Swiatek (91st),
Jasmine Jackson (108th), and Lily Dohmen (110th) all
improved their best time on the Kearney course.
The boys team finished 7th, a mere 12 points out of 2nd in a
tightly-packed field. Michael Gasper was the top runner for
Scotus in 19th place. Gasper's time moved him to 5th
all-time for Scotus boys times on the Kearney course. Other
runners were Nicolas Schultz (33rd), Ross Thorson (40th),
Benjamin Juarez (68th), Jude Maguire (94th), and Caleb
Schumacher (95th). Along with Gasper, Schultz, Maguire, and
Schumacher all recorded their fastest time on the Kearney
Boys Team Both Qualify for State Meet

(Albion, NE.. Oct. 15, 2020) The Scotus girls team
finished 3rd, the boys runner-up at the district meet
Thursday at Albion to qualify both teams for the Class C
State Meet next week in Kearney.
Olivia Fehringer (4th), Whitney Klug (8th), and Emily
Ferguson (15th) medaled in the girls race. Serena Swiatek
(17th) rounded out the scorers for the Shamrocks.
Michael Gasper (8th), Nicolas Schultz (9th), and Ross
Thorson (14th) medaled for the boys. Benjamin Juarez (17th)
completed the scorers for Scotus.
Boys Win Third Straight Meet as Conference Champs

Varsity Girls and Four Boys Medal
(Lincoln, NE.. Oct. 6, 2020) Nicolas Schultz (5th)
led four Scotus runners finishing within an impressive 0:16
of each other as the Shamrocks won the Centennial Conference
Meet over runner-up Lincoln Christian 31-44. Benjamin Juarez
(7th), Ross Thorson (8th), and Michael Gasper (11th) rounded
out the medalists for Scotus.
Olivia Fehringer finished 4th, Whitney Klug 8th, and Emily
Ferguson 12th to lead the girls to a third-place team
finish. Lily Dohmen (2nd), Logan Erickson (2nd), and Alex
Medina (4th) medaled in their respective JV divisions.
