![]() On the Cutting Edge of Societal Satire
by Bill Krustel French astronomer Pierre Kohler is making NASA see stars... Kohler has written a book which claims that astronauts have not only had sex in space, but that it was part of an official NASA experiment. NASA officials are criticizing some in the media for repeating the claim without bothering to verify it. NASA spokeswoman Eileen Hawley told UPI that it was lazy reporting. "Why didn't one reporter pick up the phone and call us? We have always made ourselves accessible to the media - we deny things all the time." Astronaut Neil Armstrong is furious. "It was an all male crew that we had. What will my family think? It's outrageous!" Kohler also took aim at another space legend, John Glenn. Glenn's attorney says that Kohler's book is a work of fiction. "John Glenn doesn't ogle fellow astronauts." "I first heard about this report five or six years ago on the Internet." Hawley said. "We denied it then, and we deny it now." A spokesman for Kohler said that NASA and the astronauts can deny his claims all they want. "I'm sticking by my anonymous sources. This book is a true, and we want to expose these dirty wastes of tax payer money." Home | International | Americana | Entertainment Conspiracies | Sports | Opinion Republication
